Dove season begins on Monday September 2nd not on Saturday this year but you can still get your shooting in on Saturday! How?

Pattern your shotgun at the Turkey Shoot and get on target by shooting Five Stand.

Five Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap and skeet. There are five stations, or stands and six to eight strategically placed clay target throwers(called traps). Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds. Each station will have a menu card that lets the shooter know the sequence of clay birds he or she will be shooting at (i.e. which trap the clay bird will be coming from).

Turkey Shoot

A "turkey shoot" is also a shooting contest where frozen turkeys and other items are awarded as prizes. The shoot is most commonly held, using shotguns aimed at paper targets about 25-35 yards away. Original turkey shoots, however, dating at least to the time of James Fenimore Cooper, were contests in which live turkeys were tied down in a pen and shot from 25-35 yards. Today, turkey shoots are still popular in rural America. The winner is chosen according to which paper target has a shot closest to its center cross-mark.

Turkey Shoot Cost

Rounds will vary with the prizes awarded. Members and Non-Members pay the same price. Members who win a round will be given a ticket for a special members only drawing.
